The Xinyx Unlocked 2024 event, held on September 19-20, 2024, at Tanghalang Haribon, Muntinlupa City, marked a significant collaboration between SEAMEO Innotech and Xinyx Design. This partnership aimed to strengthen the link between education and industry by fostering innovation and inspiring the next generation of leaders in the microelectronics and semiconductor sectors. Xinyx Unlocked serves as a platform where engineering students from across the Philippines showcase their talents and skills through competitions such as the Innovation Challenge and IC Design Olympics. With the support of SEAMEO Innotech, this year’s event not only celebrated technical excellence but also emphasized the vital role of education in addressing the country’s growing demand for skilled professionals in the microelectronics industry.
In her powerful closing remarks, Kochakorn Khattapan Acidre, Center Deputy Director at SEAMEO Innotech, speaking on behalf of Center Director Leonor Magtolis Briones, highlighted the deeper significance of the event:
“Each problem holds a seed of possibility. What I want to emphasize is the need to empower innovation. It’s not just about creating new technologies or products; it’s about unlocking human potential.
